Six Weeks!!

Audrey is six weeks old already and has grown so much in such a short time. I have my post partum visit with Dr. Deenadaylu on Monday and should be cleared for everything. I'm actually looking forward to trying to get some good exercise in, I think it will help me feel energized with the lack of sleep :)

Audrey is getting so much better with sleep, she sometimes has trouble falling asleep at night especially if she's spent a good chunk of the day sleeping but once she does she is waking up less throughout the night for feedings and is pretty great at going right back to sleep after she's done eating which is fantastic. She has even had a couple good 4-5 hour stretches of sleep in the middle of the night which makes this Mama very happy!!!

She is starting to show some really great expressions on her face and everyone just loves to be around here because she has a great personality. Her favorite things are doing bouncy bouncy with Daddy and dance parties with Mommy. She can grab onto fingers and hold on really tight, we are working on grabbing at some of her fun toys so she can have a good time when she's in her car seat.

We made our first real trips out into public by going to visit Grandma at work and at Auntie Rachel's fundraiser for her school and she did great! She was such a good girl and Grandma loved showing her off and at Rachel's fundraiser she snuggled with her quite a bit and cried very little. She was such a good girl and we both had a great time with both outings. We even spent a couple of hours at work yesterday so that I could get some bills paid and get caught up on some paperwork. She did amazing there too even having to get her pants changed on my desk which I think amused Papa quite a bit :)

We are having so much fun her grow each and every day and look forward to what the next few weeks hold until she reaches her two month milestone.

One Month Old!

I can't believe our little Audrey is one month old already! This month has really flown by and we've loved each day with her. She's already changed so much in just a month that I can't wait to see what next month holds. This month has been spent trying to establish a bit of a routine which we are still working on ;) She is most comfortable and happy when she's on someone's shoulder, especially her Daddy's. She can be easily soothed by doing bouncy, bouncy as her Daddy calls it and she loves listening to music. She's growing to love spending time on her playmat especially staring at her whale. She loves to just kick her feet and throw her hands in the air.

We've spent so much great time with family this first month especially celebrating Noah and Benjamin's birthday and her first Easter with all of her grandparents were great highlights to this first month.

We can't wait to see how much she learns and grows this month as she gets bigger and stronger everyday!!!

 

She just brings so much joy and love to our home and family. We love her so so much!!

A's First Easter

We celebrated our first Easter as a family of 3 this past Sunday. My parents and Phil's parents came to visit Baby A and celebrate her first holiday with her. Phil prepared an amazing feast of Cola Glazed Ham, Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans with Mango Chutney, and Homemade Potato Rolls. We enjoyed spending the day at home and cheering the Michigan Basketball team on to the Final Four!! It was so nice to spend the day together with Miss A.
