My wonderful Mom and I traveled north to Pinconning on Saturday to celebrate Baby A's arrival with the LeVasseur and Weller families. The shower was hosted by Phil's Mom, Cindy and Granny Judy. It was an Audrey Hepburn theme which was the perfect way to celebrate the impending arrival of our little lady. It was great to see Phil's Aunts, Cousins and their kids since we don't get to see them very often since they are mostly in Bay City but also spread out a bit across the state.
The details were wonderful and everyone had a great time. I was so glad that Phil's sister Andrea and my niece Maybelle were able to come in from Chicago for the occasion! Thank you so much to Cindy and Granny for hosting this beautiful shower. Audrey has so much love from both sides of her family and we officially feel ready for her to come! As of tomorrow, I will be 34 weeks which means the countdown is at 6 weeks or less!
I've been going twice weekly for Non-Stress tests due to my Gestational Diabetes and so far she's doing great. They monitor her heart rate for about 20 minutes just to make sure she's doing well and that my diabetes is controlled. Next week we have what should be our last ultrasound of her where they will take measurements and again make sure she's right on track size wise since GD babies tend to be on the big side. I can't wait to see our little lady again!!!

Disney Baby Shower :)
I had the most amazing day yesterday celebrating with all of my family and friends little Audrey's impending arrival. My amazing sister spearheaded putting together most wonderful baby shower I could have ever imagined and my wonderful Mom opened her home to everyone for the occasion. We all know how much I love all things Disney and my sister took the theme and ran with it to perfection. I was beyond overwhelmed by the love in the room for Audrey. She is already so blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life who care so much for her and can't wait for her to get here.
I simply can't believe how the time has flown by and that she will be here in two months (or less!!) The first 7 months of my pregnancy have gone really quickly when I look back on it and I'm so glad I was able to spend the time with all of these people before she arrives.
The details were perfect and I'm so grateful that Sarah and Rachel got some great pictures that I'll always cherish and be able to show Ms. Audrey in the future to show her how many people love her and came to celebrate her.
I was overwhelmed by the number of gifts I received for Audrey and everything was so perfect and will be put to great use! Instead of a card we asked for books to read to Audrey. Phil loved looking through all the books and already started reading to her last night :) It's so special that they all have who they came from in the books so we'll always know who gave us these special treasures!
Little girl clothes are just too cute! I can't wait to put her in all her new duds and I'm so thankful I got a great variety of sizes for her no matter how big she decides to be when she makes her debut!
I'm so thankful to all of these wonderful people for coming to spend the day with me!
None of this would have been the same without my incredible sister. Audrey is so blessed to have you for an Aunt. I love you so much and am so grateful to have you in my life.
Lastly here is a great belly shot, this is 32 weeks and as of a week and half ago Baby A was weighing in at about 4lbs 8oz. She's heading in to a major growth spurt in this last 8 weeks and I can't wait to see how big she is when she's born. She comes from a Mom and Dad who weighed 9 lbs when they were born so she could almost double in size before she comes. My guess is she'll weigh just a little over 8lbs when she's born but we'll just have to wait and see!!

Happy 2013 - Mom's Birthday!
We are such a lucky family because we always get to bring in the New Year in a big way with my Mom's birthday on January 1. This year is extremely special because we know that 2013 is going to be such a big year for our family in many ways. I love being able to spend this day with all of our family. The Reeves came over early to watch Grandma's parade (The Rose Bowl parade) with her and then watch the Michigan football game as well. Phil prepared an amazing German feast complete with Jagger Schnitzel (pork chops) and homemade spaetzle! To top it off Melissa made Mom a carrot cake with coconut frosting. It was such a great day just spending time together.

We even got some great pictures of Grandma with her boys, even the four legged ones!! Here's to a great 2013 which promises to hold special moments and memories that will last a lifetime!
