Christmas Day!

My most favorite day of the year was another great day this year. It was so great to spend the day with our family continuing in some of our great traditions. Last year Phil had to stay in Texas to work so it was nice to have everyone back together this year.

The morning started with the Christmas Story on TBS which is a classic tradition of ours. I just love that movie. Phil got right work on the Prime Rib as soon as we got there at 7:00 so the house smelled delicious all day. The Reeves family arrived shortly thereafter and we got to work opening presents. I am so happy with my new camera that I got to capture pictures of Baby A when she arrives.

Luke is modeling the firefighter suit which goes great with the new playhouses Grandma made for the boys.

My boys had a great time watching all of the excitement unfold and everyone loved their presents. Phil especially loved the Star Wars Legos and the matching Bazinga t-shirt for him and Audrey. I think if it was a little smaller he'd want her to come home from the hospital in it!!

After opening presents, we made some delicious pancakes for breakfast. We also had yummy sausage, bacon, and this amazing fruit dip my Mom made. I was definitely good and full after eating about 5 sugar free pancakes...yummy and diabetic friendly too!!

We spent the rest of the day enjoying each other's company, watching Casablanca and just relaxing. Meanwhile Phil continued to watch the Prime Rib and the end result was ridiculously amazing.

We had a great day and  I can't believe next year we will have a daughter to enjoy this special day with...speaking of here's a new bump picture at almost 29 weeks. She's getting bigger everyday!!

Merry Christmas 2012!!

Christmas Eve

Since tomorrow is our traditional Christmas Day at the Radloff's, we've decided to turn Christmas Eve into our own special family day.  I can't believe this is our last Christmas with just us and the dogs and next year will be so much more special with Audrey. Even though she's not here she's already part of the festivities and even had a few gifts under the tree :)

We've spent the morning opening presents and enjoying our time together and we'll see what the rest of the day holds for us! Phil wants to have a tradition of keeping the TV off on Christmas Eve and just playing and listening to music. We'll see how that goes, I think it will be easier next year when we have Little Miss Audrey to entertain us but I'm looking forward to a great day just the two (well four if you include pups) of us!!

Here's our morning so far!!

All of our presents, the puppies didn't get wrapped!

The dogs are very happy with their presents, Carson hasn't stopped chewing his Nylabone yet and after an hour Toby has just decided he needs a nap after running around chasing his new cow and Clarise toys.  I think Phil loves his presents most of all, he got a new pedal to play with and I'm pretty sure he'll be in his guitar room most of the morning playing with it! But I think the best reaction came when he opened this present...

It's a little yellow Star Trek Command onesie for Audrey. She'll look just like Captain Kirk! The smallest size I could find was 6 months so he'll have to wait a little while for her to sport it but it's just fun to have it here!

Audrey even had a few surprises under the tree for her to come home to in a few months!

We all know how I love Disney and I hope Audrey shares the love of all things Disney with me so I'm getting her started off early!! I love this Dumbo Disney Baby Sound Soothing machine. I will strap right to her crib and play some nice sounds for her to sleep to. Of course as she gets older she'll need to know more about her friend Dumbo and it was one of the movies my collection was missing so we got that for her too!!

This Mama was most excited by these presents under the tree...

My James Bond collection is now complete! I needed On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Octopussy, and A View to a Kill to complete the collection I've been accumulating since my love of James Bond began over 10 years ago. With the 50th Anniversary of the series and Skyfall out in the theatres, the last three movies were much easier to come across. Now I have them all!! I'm so excited!!!!

I'm greatly looking forward to a wonderful day with all of our family tomorrow and to what the rest of this Christmas Eve holds for the LeVasseur family!!!

Happy Holidays!

Cookie Day!

One of the best days of the year is Cookie Day at the Radloff house. It's a tradition we've had since I can remember and one I can't wait to continue with Audrey next year. One of the best and most important parts of Christmas is creating the family traditions that take place each year. For us it's getting up nice and early on Christmas and opening presents in our PJs and watching A Christmas Story over and over again on TBS but before the big day arrives on December 25 we pick a Saturday out a few weeks before Christmas and make tons of cookies!

This year we didn't make multiple types of cookies like we do but we focused on the important ones, the sugar cookies! We've used the same recipe each day and we make tons of different shapes. As the boys get older it's so fun to have them taking part in all of the festivities!

Getting the dough ready to go!

Mixin It Up!

The final product looks wonderful! The best part is they taste great too! Even though Audrey will only be about 9 months old next Christmas, I'm sure she'll love being a part of Cookie Day too!!

1 + 1 = 3

This is the age old story of a boy meeting a girl and falling in love and living happily ever after. Every story has its ups and downs and twists and turns but in the end everything happens for a reason and the LeVasseur family is the happiest it could be.

The main reason for our happiness is due to the plain and simple miracle of a little peanut being on the way! We are so excited to meet our first child on or around March 13, 2013!! We've had so many blessings this year and our so excited to see what 2013 holds for us as we become first time parents.

As of today, I am currently 27 weeks along and I feel great. Our little peanut is getting bigger and bigger each day and as of our ultrasound appointment this morning Baby LeVasseur is weighing in around 2 lbs 8 ozs and is on track to be born a little earlier than my due date.

The best part of the pregnancy so far happened on October 3. We found out that Baby LeVasseur is in fact Baby GIRL LeVasseur!! Both Phil and I are just so excited to be welcoming our little baby girl. She will be named Audrey Ellen LeVasseur after the great Audrey Hepburn and my Mom, Barbara Ellen. It was extremely easy to name her after these two woman who've had a profound impact on my life in such a positive way.

Here are some of Baby A's best moments so far. She's so loved already and has a huge crowd of folks ready and eagerly awaiting her arrival in just a few short months!!

Mama and Daddy to be on 9/22/12

Our little lady is quite the acrobat isn't she! We've had some great images of her during our ultrasounds, she does something new each week. The best shot by far we got this morning at our appointment, we are so lucky the Ultrasound Tech quickly grabbed the 3-D wand and captured this gem.

To me it looks like she is already contemplating life in there or going geez, how much longer do I need to hang out in here before I can come out and play with everyone! Either way, she needs to sit tight a while longer and we know her time to make her grand entrance will be here before we know it. There is so much excitement ahead in these next 12ish weeks before she gets here and I can't wait to document it all here and look back at the precious times leading up to her birth.
